Day 1

City: Tokyo

Event: Arrival at Narita / Haneda International Airport

Welcome to Japan!

Following your arrival to Japan and transfer to the hotel, enjoy the rest of the day free to relax from a long flight.

Day 2

City: Tokyo

Event: Sightseeing in Tokyo

We kickoff the Konnichiwa Japan Tour with a day full of sightseeing and shopping. Firstly, we begin the day’s tour with a visit to the Imperial Palace, home to Japan’s Imperial Family. We will then visit the Meiji-Jingu Shrine which was dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken in 1920. Following that, we will visit one of Tokyo’s most popular temples, the Asakusa Kannon Temple, and Nakamise Shopping Arcade. Lastly, we end the day with a trip to Tokyo Tower.

Day 3

City: Tokyo

Event: Free for your own activity

Enjoy this day free for your own activities. You might choose to spend the day shopping at Harajuku or visiting some other famous sights such as the Tokyo SKYTREE. Regardless of what you choose to do, take advantage of this day to fulfill your travel interests.

Day 4

City: Tokyo – Kawaguchiko

Event: Transfer to Fuji Five Lake area

Today, we leave Tokyo and before traveling to Kawaguchiko. Following our departure, we will be visiting the famous Kawaguchiko Lake, said to be the most accessible and interesting of the Fuji Five Lakes. For a bird’s eye view of the lake, we will then ride the Kachikachiyama Ropeway, a cable-car leading to Mt. Tenjo. To end the day’s tour, we will also visit the Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Historical Village and Oshino Hakkai.

Day 5

City: Kawaguchiko – Mt. Fuji – Kyoto

Event: Sightseeing in Mt. Fuji area and transfer to Kyoto

Experience Mt. Fuji up close and personal with a visit to the 5th Station. Enjoy a view of the mountain top and panoramic views of the surrounding areas then visit the souvenir shops for Mt. Fuji specialty items. Saying goodbye to Mt. Fuji, we will then take the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Kyoto.

Day 6

City: Kyoto

Event: Sightseeing in Kyoto

Continuing with our exploration of Kyoto, Day 6 is filled with visits to cultural sites. Beginning with the famous Kinkakuji Temple, otherwise known as the Golden Pavilion. We also venture to Kiyomizu Temple, Ninenzaka, and Sannenzaka. During the day, we will also get to experience a traditional tea ceremony at Daitokuji Zuiho-in or similar. Finally, we end the day with a visit to Fushini Inari.

Day 7

City: Kyoto

Event: Free for your own activity

Enjoy this day free for your own activities. We recommend you visit Gion Corner or take a stroll through the bamboo forest of Arashiyama. Known as the cultural capital of Japan, you will undoubtedly find something that fits your interests in Kyoto.

Day 8

City: Kyoto – Miyajima – Hiroshima

Event: Transfer to Hiroshima by Shinkansen

Today’s events bring us to Hiroshima and Miyajima Island. Firstly is a visit to the Itsukushima Shrine. Formally known as Itsukushima Island, “Miyajima” means “shrine island” and was nicknamed that because of Itsukushima Shrine’s famous “floating” torii gate. Then in Hiroshima, we will visit the Peace Memorial Park/Museum and the A-Bomb Dome. The A-Bomb Dome is what remains of the Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall, one of the few buildings to remain standing since the bomb was dropped. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial is thus a reminder of the destructive power of mankind and expresses the hope for world peace.

Day 9

City: Hiroshima – Osaka

Event: Transfer to Osaka by Shinkansen

Boarding the Shinkansen (bullet train), we will transfer to our tour’s last destination: Osaka. Once there, we will visit Kuromon Ichiba Market also known as “Osaka’s kitchen.” A covered market, many professional and household chefs gather their ingredients there, thus the nickname. Finally, we end the tour with a trip to Dotonbori/Namba area. Dotonbori is Osaka’s most famous tourist destination with its abundance of neon signs and shopping.
